Ukraine Medical Consortium (UMC)

UMC is a network of Polish and Ukrainian NGOs that provides medical and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, NGO representatives and medical professionals came together to coordinate aid requests and bring together international organizations with Ukranian officials. Their work includes connecting volunteer groups, experts and organizations to provide aid where it is most needed. To be able to provide reliable support, they vet all requests through medical professionals in Poland and officials in Ukraine. Real-time and regular contact with doctors, hospitals and the Ukrainian Ministry of Health facilitates urgent requests and serves as an efficient distribution network for medical equipment and pharmaceuticals.
