Donation for Ukrainian Refugees in Moldova

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine earlier this year has had a large impact on its neighbors after over five million Ukranians fled. Ukraine’s eastern neighbor Moldova has assisted around 500,000 refugees through its borders, and just under 90,000 have remained. Moldova’s population is small at around 2.6 million, A recent report from UNCHR explained that “Ukrainians have the right to live and work in the country and access services such as health care and education, while some 95 per cent of the arrivals are being hosted by Moldovan families.” Authorities have already set up 92 refugees centres around the country and they expect more refugees to arrive. The government issued a statement to all NGOs asking them to provide essential hygiene supplies, food and medicines – especially those who suffer from chronic illnesses. Krebsallianz has a long-standing partnership with the moldovan NGO Coram Deo and in light of the crisis recently donated 10,000 € to provide refugees with hygiene and medical supplies.
